There’s just the one Father’s Day, and so many options. Our team has put together a simple list of things to do with dad in Fairfield, to celebrate his greatness.
Swing Clubs – Book a tee time, hit the links. These two courses offer varying degrees of difficulty, set in the scenic hills of northern Fairfield. Bring your dad, and the cigars.
Smith Richardson
Fairchild Wheeler
Drink Beer – It’s a known fact, most dads are quick to hop on board if the plans include actual hops and barley. Good news, we’re stacked with local places that pour the good pints, and even serve growlers to go.
Two Roads
Aspetuck Brew Lab
Craft 260
Walrus & Carpenter
Climb Rocks – Maybe your dad is of the outdoor enthusiast variety, but does not mind spending time indoors, occasionally. This local climbing gym is a great place to climb high and have fun. Get a guide, and get to it.
Bowl Strikes – This one is more family-friendly. Bring the kids, and grandkids. Get a traditional lane, or go glow bowling. Bumpers or no bumpers, an afternoon at the lanes can keep your Father’s Day out of the gutter.
Nutmeg Bowl
Uncle Buck’s (Bass Pro)
Eat Meat – Not all dad’s are carnivores. But many have a Fred Flinstone side to them, and often long for a brontosaurus burger. Either of these fine establishments can satisfy dad’s primal urge for a dreamy steak, and a nice glass of wine, or whiskey.
Michael Gennaros
Joseph’s Steak House
